Lords Committee to Investigate Economics Of Development Aid
Lords Committee to Investigate Economics Of Development Aid
1 April 2011
The House of Lords Economic Affairs Committee will shortly begin an inquiry into The Economics of Development Aid
The inquiry will evaluate the impact of official development aid, in particular UK development aid, on the economic development of recipient countries. It will take into account the relative economic performance of those developing countries which have not received such aid. And it will consider, in the light of the evidence, whether and if so in what way UK policies should be changed to encourage such development.
A detailed invitation to submit evidence to the inquiry will be issued in due course.
