Mark Thompson gives evidence on BBC Trust

The House of Lords Communications Committee questioned BBC Director-General Mark Thompson on Tuesday 26 April as part of its inquiry into the BBC Trust.
Marcus Agius, non-Executive member of the BBC Board, and Lord Birt, former BBC Director-General will also give evidence to the Committee.

Evidence
Mark Thompson and Mark Agius were questioned by the Committee about the relationship between the BBC Executive Board and the BBC Trust, the role of non-Executive directors in setting Executive remuneration/pay and issues of regulation & compliance within the BBC.
Immediately following, the Committee took evidence from Lord Birt, asking about the value of the role of Chairman of the BBC, reforms of BBC governance and his experience of introducing changes at the BBC.
