Welfare of Laying Hens Directive: report to be published

The Environment, Food and Rural Affairs Committee has agreed to publish its Ninth Report of Session 2010-12, The Welfare of Laying Hens Directive—Implications for the egg industry (HC 830) on Friday 2 September at 00.01 am.

Advance copies of the Report will be available under embargo from 11 am, Tuesday 30 August 2011 in PDF format. Those who gave oral evidence will also be sent a paper copy. Press should email media officer Hannah Pearce to request one.

The Report Volume I (HC 830) will include oral evidence together with written evidence from those who gave oral evidence. Further written evidence will be available in a web-only Volume II, available on publication on the Committee’s homepage under the heading publications: www.parliament.uk/efracom.

On Friday 2 September hard copies of the Report will be available in the following ways:

  • Copies of the Report may be obtained, on publication, from the usual outlets, including The Parliamentary Bookshop and The Stationery Office.
  • Both volumes of the Report will be posted on the Committee’s homepage of the Parliamentary website under publications.
