Issues
The former ministers are expected to be asked about their experience as ministers in the House of Lords and for their views on various aspects of the Draft Bill including: the proposal that people appointed as ministers to a reformed House of Lords should remain members only for as long as they remain in post; whether the Bill should include a limit on the number of ministers a PM could appoint to the Lords; and, whether the Appointments Commission should have a role in vetting proposed Ministerial appointments.
