MPs examine impact of recent adverse weather on transport networks

The Commons Transport Committee asks what would improve the resilience of the UK road and rail system.
How did the UK transport system cope with harsh weather this winter? How much did we learn from disruption in 2009 and what other lessons need to be learned to improve our resilience in the future? How do UK transport networks fare in harsh winter weather compared to those in other countries?
These and other questions of particular relevance to the road and rail network form the focus for this session of the Transport Committee inquiry into the impact on transport of recent adverse weather conditions.
Please note that air travel infrastructure will form the focus of a different session to take place in March.
