The Committee invited the Minister for Pensions, Steve Webb MP, to give oral evidence on the Government’s pensions reforms on Wednesday 9 March 2011 at 9.30 am, in the Grimond Room, Portcullis House.

In advance of the evidence session, short submissions (no more than 2,000 words) are invited from interested organisations and individuals on any of the following issues, or on other current pensions matters.

  • The proposed accelerated increase in the State Pension Age (and particularly the impact of the change on women)
  • The impact of the change to using the Consumer Price Index to uprate workplace pensions
  • The plans for auto-enrolment into workplace pension schemes and the establishment of the National Employment Savings Trust (NEST).

The deadline for written evidence is 24 February 2011.
