The Commons Work and Pensions Committee will today take oral evidence from Iain Duncan Smith, Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, in relation to its inquiry on the White Paper on Universal Credit.

The session will take place on Wednesday 9 February 2011 at 9.30am in the Grimond Room, Portcullis House

Background

This is the final oral evidence session in the inquiry and will provide an opportunity to discuss a wide range of issues arising from the Government’s proposals, particularly those which the White Paper indicated required further development, including housing and childcare costs and recognition of the extra costs associated with disability.
