MPs question Metropolitan Police on use of undercover officers

This session has been arranged in order to question the Metropolitan Police over discrepancies in evidence given to the previous Home Affairs Committee about the presence of undercover police officers at the G20 protests.

Committee Chair, Rt Hon Keith Vaz MP, said:

"I am most grateful to Acting Commissioner Godwin for calling to see me to apologise for the discrepancy in the evidence given to the Committee.

 

We look forward to Commander Bob Broadhurst and Acting Commissioner Godwin appearing before the Committee to explore these matters in a full and complete way."

Witnesses:

The session will be held after the sessions on Equalities and the Work of the Child Exploitation and Protection Centre which begin at 11am.
