The Political and Constitutional Reform Committee will take evidence on Thursday 20 January in the Wilson Room, Portcullis House from

At 11.30 am
• Clive Betts MP, Chair, Communities and Local Government

This will follow up recommendations from the CLG Committee’s 2009 report into the balance of power between central and local government, in particular that Committee’s proposals that the European Charter of Local Self-Government should be placed on a statutory footing. The session will also establish any lessons for the Committee’s inquiry to be drawn from the CLG Committee’s concurrent work into localism
