Unauthorised tapping or hacking of mobile communications

The Committee has requested that Assistant Commissioner John Yates QPM appears before them on Tuesday July 19 2011. The current witnesses on Tuesday will be Sir Paul Stephenson, the Metropolitan Police Commissioner and Dick Fedorcio, the Director of Public Affairs at the Metropolitan Police Service.
Committee Chairman, Rt Hon Keith Vaz MP, said:
“The Committee has recalled Mr Yates to give evidence tomorrow to clarify aspects of his evidence that he gave to the Committee last week and following the statement of Sir Paul Stephenson.”
