PASC to hold pre-appointment hearing for Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman

PASC (the Public Administration Select Committee) will hold a pre-appointment hearing on Wednesday 6 July, examining the professional competence and personal independence of the preferred candidate for the post of Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman, Dame Julie Mellor.
Dame Julie is a partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers and previously was the Chair of the Equal Opportunities Commission.
The session is open to the public and will be held in Committee Room 16, starting at 09.45 am.
