Further information

The session will explore the role of health visitors in helping children to be ready for school, taking into account recommendations made in recent reviews on Early Years, Early Intervention and Poverty and Life Chances. The Committee will also consider recent trends in health visiting and the Government’s drive to recruit an additional 4200 health visitors by 2015 in order to deliver a universal health visiting service.
