This is the fourth and final session of the Committee’s inquiry.

The Chair of the Committee, Rt Hon Keith Vaz MP, said:
“Turkey’s admission to the EU will make it the second largest Member State, with a population of over 70 million. It is essential that all of the lessons of previous enlargements are learnt before and not after it becomes a member. The Committee looks forward to examining in detail the issues that are of concern to the public, including migration, people trafficking and drugs trafficking.”
“We will also take the opportunity in this session to ask the POPPY Project, who provide unique support to women trafficked into the UK for prostitution or domestic servitude, about reports that they will be losing 75% of their funding.”
