The Welsh Affairs Committee would like to announce the second evidence session considering Inward investment in Wales

The Committee has invited Sir Terry Matthews OBE to give evidence as part of its inquiry into Inward Investment in Wales. The session will examine the conditions needed in Wales to improve inward investment and the support currently available to businesses. The Committee will also consider whether the necessary conditions exist in Wales to support enterprise.

Sir Terry Matthews is Wales’s foremost businessman and entrepreneur and has either founded or funded over 80 companies since 1972. He is the founder and Chairman of Wesley Clover, an investment vehicle and holding company. Wesley Clover now has interests in a broad range of next-generation technology companies, real estate, hotels and resorts.

Sir Terry was also responsible for bringing the Ryder Cup to the Celtic Manor Resort in Newport, South Wales. This event was held in October 2010 and was attended by over 50,000 spectators.
