Appointments to the MPC and the interim FPC

Following its hearing with Dr Ben Broadbent and Dr Donald Kohn today (17 May 2011), the Treasury Committee has agreed that it is satisfied that they fulfil the Committee’s two criteria for appointment to the Monetary Policy Committee (Dr Ben Broadbent) and the interim Financial Policy Committee (Dr Donald Kohn) of professional competence and personal independence. The Treasury Committee wishes them every success.
The Committee’s report will be published as the Twelfth and Thirteenth Report from the Committee on Monday 23 May at 11.00am.
