British foreign policy and the 'Arab Spring' inquiry begins

The Committee will hold the first of its evidence sessions in its inquiry into British foreign policy and the ‘Arab Spring’: the transition to democracy.
The first half of the session is expected to focus on Tunisia and on movements for reform and the establishment of multi-party democracy. The second half is likely to take a wider view of recent developments and the prospects for transition to democracy across the Middle East.
