Appointment of Robert Jenkins to the interim Financial Policy Committee

The Treasury Committee yesterday (26 October 2011) held a hearing with Robert Jenkins on his appointment by the Chancellor as an external member of the interim Financial Policy Committee of the Court of the Bank of England.
The Committee is satisfied that Mr Jenkins has the professional competence, commitment, and personal independence to be an external member of the interim Financial Policy Committee. It wishes him every success in his role.
