PASC to question Charity Commission Chair and Chief Executive

The Committee is to hold a one-off evidence session on the work of the Charity Commission, reviewing its Annual Report and Accounts for 2010-11 and its proposed strategic plan. It will take place on Tuesday 25 October 2011 at 10.00 am in Committee Room 15.

Particular issues to be explored may include:

  • The restructuring undertaken by the Charity Commission in response to its settlement under the Comprehensive Spending Review
  • The application by the Commission of the public benefit test for charities in the Charities Act 2006
  • The role of the Commission in charity regulation
