Glasgow visit: Crown Estate and Family Return Project

The Scottish Affairs Committee holds public oral evidence sessions in relation to its inquiries into the Crown Estate in Scotland and The Family Return Project.
Crown Estate in Scotland evidence session
The Committee will hold an oral evidence session in Glasgow to discuss the 2007 report of the Crown Estate Review Working Group, as well as other issues relating to the Crown Estate and the work of the Crown Estate Commissioners.

The Family Return Project evidence session
The Committee will also be taking this opportunity to hold a separate oral evidence session on The Family Return Project which was a partnership between the UK Border Agency (UKBA), Glasgow City Council Social Work Services, and the Scottish Executive.
The Family Return Project (FRP) was a pilot child-centred, residential programme designed to encourage asylum seeking families who have exhausted their appeal rights to take up a voluntary return to their home country.
It was established in Glasgow in June 2009 for a pilot of three years, following a similar pilot which ran for 12 months from November 2007 to October 2008 in Ashford, Kent.
