MPs to question Eric Pickles on Local Government Resource Review

At this one off oral evidence session with Minister Eric Pickles the Commons Communities and Local Government Committee will be discussing government proposals to change what proportion of the business rates local authorities can retain and its plans to expand the use of community budgets.

Background

This is a one-off oral evidence session to consider the results of Phase 1 of the Local Government Resource Review - that is the proposals for business rates retention by local authorities published by the Government in July - and the prospects for Phase 2 of the Review, which will focus on community budgets.
