A Joint Committee of MPs and Peers took evidence on the draft Financial Services Bill for the first time, questioning Gillian Tett and Charles Dumas followed by former Permanent Secretary to the Treasury, Lord Burns.

Immediately following, at 10.45, Lord Burns was questioned about regulatory structures, measures that might prevent further financial crisis, and the operation of the UK within the new European regulatory regime.
