Committee take evidence on Child Maintenance and Enforcement Commission

The Work and Pensions Committee will take oral evidence on the Government’s plans to abolish CMEC and to transfer its functions into the Department for Work and Pensions.

The formal proposals for this process will be set out in a draft Order to be laid by the DWP under the Public Bodies Act 2011.

The Committee will also use the evidence session to follow up with the Minister some the recommendations in its report published in July 2011 on the Government’s proposed child maintenance reforms.
