Vince Cable and William Hague questioned on export controls

On Tuesday 7 February the Committees will hold the final evidence session examining the Government's 2010 Annual Report on Strategic Export Controls (HC 1402, 18 July 2011) and the quarterly reports produced during 2010 and the early part of 2011.

It will provide an opportunity for Members from the four influential select committees (Business, Innovation and Skill, Defence, Foreign Affairs and International Development) to question the Secretaries of State on:  

  • strategic export control policy
  • enforcement of export controls
  • exports to specific countries
  • the International Arms Trade Treaty and
    other areas of arms export control
