This is the first evidence session for the Committee’s inquiry into taxation in developing countries. It provides an opportunity for Members to examine the complex background to this issue, and to begin to question what DFID can do in this area. The first panel consists of NGOs representatives, including one Zambian NGO, reflecting the Committee’s particular focus on Zambia. The second panel consists of academics with particular expertise on this subject.
