The House of Lords Economic Affairs Committee will hear evidence on the impact of development aid from witnesses with experience of working with aid programmes in developing countries

In the final evidence session of its inquiry, the Committee will put questions to witnesses on subjects including the role as aid donors of China and India and how British aid policy should respond, and the effects of corruption on aid programmes. The growth of British aid to fragile states will also be discussed, with the Committee interested in how far development assistance can contribute to "nation building".
