The Backbench Business Committee scheduled a debate on Thursday 19 January in Westminster Hall to mark Holocaust Memorial Day 2012

Gavin Barwell, Conservative MP for Croydon Central moved the debate in Westminster Hall. Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government, Andrew Stunnell, responded in the debate on behalf of the Government. Watch and read the view expressed by MPs during the debate on Parliament TV and in Commons Hansard.

Westminster Hall debates

Westminster Hall adjournment debates allow MPs to discuss issues of local or personal interest which rarely have time to be debated in the main Chamber of the House of Commons. MPs can discuss a variety of issues and receive a response from a government Minister.
