Following the visit of the Business, Innovation and Skills Select Committee to the Kraft Bournville site in December 2011, the Committee today published two letters (see attached) between its Chairman, Adrian Bailey MP, and Kraft management, highlighting areas of ongoing concern and the steps Kraft have taken to address these issues

Letter from the Chairman of the Committee, Adrian Bailey MP, to Kraft management (dated 15 December 2011)

Letter to the Chairman from Nick Bunker, President, UK & Ireland, Kraft Foods UK Ltd (dated 9 January 2012)

Commenting on the correspondence received from Kraft, the Chairman of the Business, Innovation and Skills Committee, Adrian Bailey MP, said:

“The Committee’s visit to Bournville provided an opportunity for us to make a number of important points on employment relations and future investment directly to Kraft management.

“The visit was particularly timely in light of the job announcements that had been made earlier in the week.

“We followed up on those points in correspondence which we are now publishing. We are continuing to keep developments under review.”
