EU moratorium on desinewed meat: Parliamentary Under-Secretary questioned

The Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (EFRA) Committee will take evidence from Anne Milton MP, Under-Secretary of State for Public Health, in its continued inquiry into the European Commission’s moratorium on desinewed meat (DSM).
Desinewed meat is a product made using a low pressure technique to separate meat from bones.
The European Commission have imposed a moratorium on the UK production of desinewed meat from cattle, sheep and goats and require desinewed meat, from poultry and pigs to be reclassified as mechanically separated meat.
