On Tuesday 22 May, the Communications Committee will question witnesses on issues such as broadband demand and access, infrastructure and service provision, and what, in practice, it would mean for the UK to have the best superfast broadband network in Europe by 2015.

Witnesses

Tuesday 22 May, Committee Room 2, Palace of Westminster. In three separate evidence sessions, the Committee will question:

  • Chi Onwurah, Shadow Minister for the Department for Business, Innovation & Skills and former Head of International Technology Strategy for Ofcom

At 4pm

  • Andrew Barron, Chief Operating Officer, Virgin Media

At 4.45pm

  • Steve Robertson, former Chief Executive Officer, BT Openreach
