This will be the second session of the Committee’s inquiry into the operation of the honours system. This session takes place on Tuesday 15 May 2012 in Committee Room 16.

Members will take evidence from Lord Digby Jones, former Director of the CBI and Minister of State for Trade and Investment; and former Chancellor of the Exchequer, Alistair Darling MP, both of whom have raised concerns about the honours forfeiture process.

The Committee will then take evidence on proposals to reform the way honours are awarded from John Lidstone, a commentator on the honours system; and Graham Smith, Chief Executive Officer of the pressure group Republic.
