Chair's comments

Committee Chair Rt Hon Keith Vaz MP said:

“It is vital to have a strong and effective police complaints procedure to root out bad practice and give the public confidence—but that cannot happen without input and cooperation from the police themselves.

In this session, we will ask the police officers what changes they would like to see to the Independent Police Complaints Commission. We will also ask what they think can be done to improve trust between the police and public.”
