This is the second evidence session of the Committee’s inquiry and provides an opportunity for the Committee to question the Arts Council England (ACE), Enders Analysis and PACT about the main challenges facing the creative industries and how important public sector funding is in nurturing the UK creative economy

ACE is the national development agency for the arts, museums and libraries, and supports a range of activities including theatre, dance, photography and crafts. ACE recently launched the Creative Industry Finance pilot programme, offering business development support and access to finance for creative industry enterprises.

Claire Enders is a telecoms and media strategy analyst with extensive experience in the industry, having worked for Thorn EMI, TVS Entertainment and The Virgin Group.

PACT is a trade association which represents the commercial interests of the independent production sector, a sector in which revenues grew to nearly £2.4 billion in 2011.
