Home Affairs Committee to question Commissioner and Minister on police complaints and immigration.

This session concludes the Committee's work on the Independent Police Complaints Commission. The Committee will also be hearing from Rt Hon Damian Green MP about the backlog faced by the UK Border Agency.

Committee Chair Rt Hon Keith Vaz MP said:

"The Committee's work on police complaints has produced a clear list of changes that will be needed to hold the police to account, especially in the most serious cases of corruption and deaths involving the police.

We will be questioning the Minister about his plans to make the police really accountable and asking the Commissioner what changes he would like to see to the IPCC.

We will also take the opportunity to ask the Commissioner about the Metropolitan Police budget."
