On Tuesday 20 November, the House of Lords Select Committee on Public Service and Demographic Change will be speaking to social care providers and experts and a charity for older people about social care in practice

The Committee will use the session to explore how local authorities and care structures are addressing the challenges of making sure the right level of social care is being provided to an ageing population through the support of the state, the social care market and informal caring. Members will also question the witnesses on quality problems in residential and home care.
