Joint Committee to take evidence from Defence Secretary

The Joint Committee on the National Security Strategy will take oral evidence from Rt Hon Philip Hammond MP and Tom McKane, on Wednesday 5 December 2012.

This will be the third in a series of evidence sessions with senior ministers, and is expected to cover a range of national security issues including: the strategic questions facing the UK, the MOD’s relationship with the National Security Council, and the strategic implication of recent and proposed changes at the MOD. The Committee expects to take evidence from the Home Secretary on 17 December 2012.

The Committee took evidence from the International Development Secretary on 25 June 2012 and from the Foreign Secretary on 30 April 2012.
