Office of Rail Regulation
- Anna Walker, Chair
- Richard Price, Chief Executive
At 4.45 pm
Department for Transport
- Rt Hon Simon Burns MP, Minister of State
- Paul Collins, Head of Rail Network Strategy
- Steve Gooding, Director General Domestic
Committee Chair Louise Ellman MP said:
"In March this year the Government published its strategy to reform the railways, "Putting the Customer First". On Monday we will be asking the minister and the regulator what progress they are making. If overcrowding is to be reduced and above-inflation fares increases are to end, the Government needs to demonstrate that it can deliver on its promises and make the rail industry more efficient, despite the current problems of the West Coast franchise competition and delays in signing the Thameslink rolling stock contract."
