On Tuesday 6 November, in the third evidence session of their inquiry into media convergence, the Lords Communications Committee will hear from Professor Martin Cave and Professor Tommaso Valletti.

Professors Cave and Valletti are both experts in competition regulation and have been economic advisors to Ofcom. Professor Cave is also the current Deputy Chair of the Competition Commission, though in this evidence session he will be speaking in a personal capacity.
The Committee will consider, in particular, the challenges raised by media convergence for the UK’s current model of competition regulation.
