Lords Privileges and Conduct Committee publishes reports on six members

The House of Lords Privileges and Conduct Committee has today published reports by the independent Lords Commissioner for Standards, Paul Kernaghan, following complaints against six members of the House

Lord Elder, Baroness Warsi and Lord Willoughby de Broke have been found to have breached the Code of Conduct; all three have formally apologised in writing, and no further action is recommended.
The complaints against Lord Blencathra, Baroness Cumberlege and Lord Fink were dismissed.
In the report into the complaint against Lord Blencathra the Sub-Committee on Lords’ Conduct, commenting on the Commissioner’s report, suggests that rules in the Guide to the Code of Conduct on the provision of ‘Parliamentary Services’ (Para 21) may need clarification. The Sub-Committee says that it will consider the issue in the near future.
