Email campaign

The Joint Committee received in excess of 19,000 emails from individuals who made submissions against the draft Bill following online campaigns by 38 Degrees and the Open Rights Group.  The members of the Joint Committee were informed of this in a note. They are grateful to the many members of the public who took time to give an indication of their anxieties, and regret that it is not possible to acknowledge each submission.
