Lords question academics in first evidence session of inquiry

The Lords Communications Committee will hear from academics in the first evidence session of its new inquiry on Tuesday 23 October. The Committee’s new inquiry intends to examine the issue of media convergence and how public policy may need to do more to adapt and reform in its wake.

  • Dr David Levy, Director of the Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism, Oxford University

All witnesses will face questions on issues including:

  • the biggest policy and regulatory challenges posed by media convergence
  • the speed and scope of the changes taking place
  • the challenges posed by the regulatory and legal reach of the UK in the light of media convergence
