The Joint Committee on Human Rights, chaired by Dr Hywel Francis MP, is to hold a pre-appointment hearing with the Government's preferred candidate for the Chair of the Equality and Human Rights Commission

Following the evidence session with Baroness O'Neill, the Committee will agree and publish a Report setting out for the Government the Committee's views on the candidate's suitability.

The above meeting is open to members of the public. It is advisable to allow about 20 minutes to pass through security checks. There is no system for prior reservation of seats in Committee Rooms. Members of the public enter via the Visitors Entrance, next to St Stephens Entance, the Palace of Westminster.
