The Public Administration Select Committee (PASC) publishes its report, "Appointment of the Chair of the Charity Commission", on Thursday 6 September 2012 at 4.30pm.
PASC took oral evidence from William Shawcross CVO, the Government’s preferred candidate, on Wednesday 5 September.
In the Report, the Committee concludes: We are satisfied that Mr Shawcross has both the professional competences and personal independence necessary to fulfil this role. We wish him every success as the Chair of the Charity Commission.
