This inquiry will consist of a one-off evidence session on the Overseas Territories with Mark Simmonds MP, Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State, Foreign and Commonwealth Office.

This session will draw upon an earlier Foreign Affairs Committee evidence session held on 11 December 2012 on the Overseas Territories, which followed the June 2012 UK Government White Paper, The Overseas Territories: Security, Success and Sustainability. It will also provide a chance to update the Committee following the second annual Overseas Territories Joint Ministerial Council, which was held in London at the end of November 2013.
