Final evidence session on energy generation in Wales: Shale Gas

The Welsh Affairs Committee will hold its final evidence session on Shale Gas in Wales on Tuesday 17 December 2013 at 9.20 am.

The Committee will take evidence from the Rt Hon Michael Fallon MP, Minister of Energy, Department of Energy and Climate Change. It will also hear from Chris Faulkner, the Chief Executive Officer of Breitling Energy Companies, an independent US energy producer that drills for shale gas in the USA .

The Committee will examine the potential for shale gas exploration and commercial-level extraction in Wales. It will explore lessons that can be learnt from the US experience, examine co-ordination between the UK Government and Welsh Government and how Wales can benefit from a potential UK shale gas industry.
