The Political and Constitutional Reform Committee is to hold a follow-up oral evidence session on the Government’s lobbying Bill.  This follows the Government’s decision to pause consideration of Part 2 of the Bill, on third-party campaigning, while it consults charities and others on the Bill’s provisions.  Consideration of the Bill resumed on 16 December.  The session on 19 December will be looking at what, if anything, has changed during the pause and what more remains to be done.

The Committee will hear from the following:

Thursday 19 December 2013 - Wilson Room, Portcullis House

At 10.00 am:

  • Jenny Watson, Chair, Electoral Commission
  • Peter Horne, Director, Party and Election Finance, Electoral Commission
  • Tony Stafford, Head of Policy (Party and Election Finance), Electoral Commission

At 10.45 am:

  • Karl Wilding, Director, Public Policy, National Council for Voluntary Organisations
  • Elizabeth Chamberlain, Policy Manager, National Council for Voluntary Organisations

At 11.15 am:

  • Georgette Mulheir, Commission on Civil Society and Democratic Engagement
