New Natural England Chairman approved by EFRA Committee

The Committee held a pre-appointment hearing with Mr Sells on Wednesday (11 December), exploring his credentials for heading the leading nature conservation body.

Mr Sells, former head of both the Garden Centre Group and Linden Homes, trained as a chartered accountant and had roles in think tanks and in venture finance during his commercial career.
Publishing a short report approving his appointment, which will begin in late January, Committee Chair Anne McIntosh MP said: "We are satisfied that Mr Sells has the professional competence required and wish him every success in his new post. "
