Metropolitan Police Commissioner appears before Committee

The Home Affairs Select Committee will hear evidence from the Metropolitan Police Commissioner, Sir Bernard Hogan-Howe, on recent policing events in London.

These will include the terms and progress of his investigation into the events following an incident on 19 September 2012 involving Rt Hon Andrew Mitchell, and  the operation of Terrorism Prevention and Investigation Measures (TPims). The Committee will also commence its inquiry into Leadership and Standards in Policing.
