The House of Lords Committee on Small and Medium Sized Enterprise (SME) Exports will hear evidence from Ministers Michael Fallon MP and Lord Green of Hurstpierpoint at 3pm today (14th January) in Committee Room 2A as the final evidence session of their inquiry.

The Committee have been taking evidence since July as they look to identify how small and medium sized businesses in the UK can be helped to generate more export sales.

The Committee will quiz the Ministers on a range of issues including whether the UK’s business culture provides the optimum environment for small business to achieve export sales, whether UK Trade & Investment is likely to meet its target of assisting 50,000 companies a year and what its client base is today, and how the government will ensure SMEs in the UK can access finance for investment.

The evidence session will start at 3pm on Monday 14 January in Committee Room 2A of the House of Lords.
