Secretaries of State questioned on steel industry in Wales

Evidence session: The steel industry in Wales
Following today’s evidence session with Tata Steel Europe Ltd and others from the Welsh steel sector, the Welsh Affairs Committee today announced it will question the Rt Hon Vince Cable MP, Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills, and Rt Hon David Jones MP, Secretary of State for Wales about the steel industry in Wales on Tuesday 29 January at 1.30pm.
The Committee will ask the two Secretaries of State about the current health of the steel industry in Wales, the impact of Tata Ltd’s restructuring plans in South Wales and whether the UK Government is creating the right conditions to help the steel industry in the UK and Wales to prosper, for instance through industrial and energy and climate change policies.
Today’s evidence session with Tata Steel, Celsa (UK) Manufacturing Ltd and the Community Union was televised.
