First evidence session held on future of the Civil Service

This is the first session of the Public Administration Select Committee's (PASC) inquiry into the future of the Civil Service
The Committee will first take evidence from four academics to consider the state of the Civil Service and to place the Government's current reform programme in an historical context. In the second part of the session Members will question representatives of three think tanks working in this field on their views of the Civil Service Reform Plan and how systemic issues within Whitehall can be addressed.
